Mental Health Treatment for Teens & Adolescents

Specialized mental health care for adolescents ages 13–17.

Adolescence can be a difficult period of rapid emotional, social, and psychological change. Anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation, trauma, identity concerns, and difficulties in relationships can begin to interfere with a teenager’s ability to function at home, at school, and with peers.

At Reclaim Recovery & Healing Center, we provide structured, trauma-informed treatment that gives adolescents a safe and supportive environment to understand what they are experiencing, develop new ways of coping, and build healthier relationships with themselves and others.

What Is Family Support

When Your Teen Is Struggling

Sometimes changes in a teenager’s behavior are more than a passing phase.

You may notice:

  • Increasing anxiety, sadness, or irritability
  • Difficulty managing intense emotions
  • Withdrawal from family or friends
  • Conflict at home
  • Problems at school or declining academic performance
  • Difficulty coping with stress or major life changes
  • Changes in relationships or social functioning
  • Trauma-related difficulties
  • Persistent worry or obsessive thoughts
  • Difficulty adjusting to developmental or identity-related changes
  • Feeling overwhelmed by emotions that seem difficult to control

When these difficulties begin to significantly affect a teenager’s everyday life, additional support may be needed.

A Place for Teens to Be Heard

Adolescents need more than simply being told how they should feel or behave.

Our approach creates space for young people to develop an understanding of their experiences and participate actively in their treatment. We work collaboratively with adolescents while recognizing the important role that parents and caregivers play in their development and recovery.

Treatment may include:

Individual Therapy

A private space for adolescents to explore their emotions, experiences, relationships, and concerns with a clinician.

Group Therapy

A structured environment where teens can develop skills, connect with peers, and recognize that they are not alone in what they are experiencing.

Family Therapy

When appropriate, family work can help improve communication, understand patterns of conflict, and create healthier ways of relating.

Psychiatric Support

Psychiatric assessment and ongoing support when medication or additional psychiatric care is clinically appropriate.

Parent Support & Education

Helping parents better understand their teenager’s experiences and develop more effective ways of communicating, responding, and setting boundaries.

Our Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Program

Structured Support Without Removing Teens From Their Everyday Lives

Reclaim’s Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Program is designed for teens ages 13–17 who need more support than traditional weekly therapy can provide while remaining connected to their families, schools, and communities.

The program provides structured treatment in a supportive environment while helping adolescents develop practical skills they can use in their everyday lives.

Our Approach to Family Support

At Reclaim Healing Center, family support is approached with compassion, structure, and individualized care.

Our therapists work with families to improve communication patterns, increase emotional understanding, and support healthier interactions both during and after treatment.

Services may integrate:

  • Family therapy techniques
  • Trauma informed approaches
  • Emotional regulation strategies
  • Conflict resolution guidance
  • Mindfulness and stress management tools

The goal is to help families move forward with stronger relationships, clearer communication, and a deeper understanding of how to support long term mental wellness.

For Parents

Watching your teenager struggle can leave you feeling uncertain about what to do next.

You may have tried talking, setting limits, finding a therapist, or changing things at home—and still feel like you’re not reaching them.

You don’t have to navigate the process alone.

Our team can help you understand your options and determine whether a structured level of care may be appropriate.
